Our season kicks off with Blithe Spirit, one of the longest-running plays ever to hit London’s West End. This hilarious farce by the master of high-class comedy follows socialite Charles and his paranormal predicament: he’s being haunted by the ghost of his first wife Elvira—and his new wife is not amused. Wacky psychics, wounded wives, and sparkling dialogue abound in this wonderful evening of classic comedy. Coward considered it his best work. Come see why!

REVIEWS
"Gorgeous set design...neat tricks by special effects advisor Wally Fenn were sublime...seasoned cast of semiprofessionals and professional actors, who meet this play's challenges full of pith and vinegar."
–Mark Langton, Marin I.J.

"The Ross Valley Players appear to be comfortable in the English drawing room....imagining can't be as much fun as watching these actors—stylishly dressed by Michael A. Berg..."
–Lee Brady, Pacific Sun

" ‘Blithe Spirit' ... a fine old ghost story...a great, chilly warm-up for Halloween... Ron Severdia carries the role of the besieged Charles with fine comic timing. Robyn Wiley is the steely Ruth, who has had-it-up-to-here with Charles’ first wife, and Marianne Shine is the splendidly slithery Elvira."
–Rosine Reynolds, The Ark

"Merry is the spirit of the Ross Valley Players' Blithe Spirit, a comedy with a generous heart. It’s a fun play, and the actors have fun with it, too."
–Olga Azar, Marin Scope

"While life offers many distractions, few do it with the elegance, grace, rapier wit and eloquence of a Noel Coward play and few small theaters can boast the awards, accolades and sustained quality of the Ross Valley Players... Ron Severdia, one of the RVP stalwarts, is a tremendous asset to the show...has mastered the art of being a seriously good actor without having his aspirations and good intentions spill into his character; he has certain subtlety and nuance on stage that is rarely witnessed in big or large houses."
–Jeffrey R. Smith, S.F. Bay Area Theater Critics' Circle
