Tartuffe by Molière
Directed by Adrian Elfenbaum
September 12 – October 12, 2025

A Classic with a Groovy Spin

In this production, the sharp wit and biting social commentary of Molière’s 17th-century masterpiece is transported to the colorful, rebellious 1960s. With mod fashion, swinging music, and countercultural flair, Tartuffe promises a hilarious yet thought-provoking evening of theater that shines a contemporary light on timeless human folly.

Executive producer Steve Price says, “At Ross Valley Players, our mission is to bring joy and delight to our community through the magic of live theater. Tartuffe may be nearly 400 years old, but its humor and humanity still shine today. By setting it in the colorful 1960s, we’re giving audiences a fresh, playful experience that celebrates both Molière’s wit and the timeless joy of coming together to laugh, reflect, and share in the power of live performance.”
